What is an exclusive?
What exactly is an "exclusive"? Well, they are items that are only available from a particular vendor or through a specific event. We issue exclusives in a variety of ways, and all are limited productions.
You can expect to see things like:
Are these all really "limited edition" and "exclusive" at all? Yes! Here's how it works.
These figures are released on Funko's online store.
Releases can occur on any day of the week or multiple times a week, though typically they occur on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. These release drops can occur at any point in the day.
To be notified about things like items released, follow @OriginalFunko on Twitter and Instagram, and join our Funko Fan Club and make sure you're set up to receive our newsletter in the Notification Preferences section under Account Settings.
Funko exclusives can also be released internationally through our partner retailers.
Funko has partnerships with many retailers such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, BoxLunch, Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, and many, many more! When we release a new figure, sometimes, these stores get their very own version that is not available anywhere else! This could be an outfit or pose variation, it might glow in the dark, or could be a different size.
Release dates vary, so if you're interested in getting your hands on a retailer exclusive, be sure to reach out the local store or their online Customer Support channel for availability. They are limited runs and are generally not restocked once they are sold out.
Each retailer will have their own sticker applied to the box to indicate it is exclusive to their store.
Figures that are sold at our event booth are hot items for our collectors.
These figures can be "booth only" items, which are not available anywhere else and are usually very limited piece counts, or they can be a "shared exclusive," sold at a partner retailer or on Funko Shop.
Either way, those purchased at the event will have a sticker to show they have breathed the rare air of the convention floor! The only way to purchase one is to secure a place in line by winning a lottery drawing.
Exactly how it sounds, these are exclusive figures that are sold by Funko Shop as well as the partner retailer or convention.
These are seen most often at the time of a convention, so we can make them available to our collectors who can't be at the show! The figure and box are no different in any way, but they are are listed on the blog as a shared exclusive and will be available at either point of purchase with a seasonal convention sticker, which is different in appearance than the booth sticker bearing the Convention logo.
